Community Engagement in Tenterden & The Herbert Protocol |
||
|
It was a pleasure to be joined by Matthew Scott, Kent Police and Crime Commissioner, while on foot patrol in Tenterden today. This provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the key issues affecting Tenterden and the surrounding villages, along with the ongoing work being carried out locally by Ashford Community Safety Unit to address these concerns. Following these discussions, a visit was made to an address in Tenterden to conduct a compliance check in relation to an existing closure order linked to Antisocial behaviour. While on patrol, officers also responded to a call following concerns for a missing male with dementia. Thanks to proactive policing on the beat, the individual was located quickly and safely. A referral has been completed to ensure appropriate support services are in place, and an At Risk of Going Missing form will also be completed to help reduce the risk of future incidents and prevent potential harm. 🧠What to do if someone with dementia goes missing If you discover that someone is missing: When you call, let us know if you have a Herbert Protocol profile available. We can collect a copy from you directly, or contact Safe and Found Online to have it sent to us, helping officers begin the search as quickly as possible. 📄 The Herbert Protocol You can find out more and complete a Herbert Protocol form here:
